Alright, so I've asked this before but it went completely ignored. I'm a bit curious as to what the deal is with certain members, as well as how some of them acquired their status.

First up, what's up with the SR Geeks? I've applied to become one, yet haven't received any notice regarding this. To my understanding though, they work with improving the forums/market and including features deemed applicable to the site brought up in Feature Requests. They can be found perusing the boards Security; Technical support; and Feature requests if they post at all.

Next I've been wondering about a current Administrator. He's indeed active, but I can't view a single one of his 58 posts. The Silk Road forums Statistics Center states there are 20 boards total on the forums, yet I have access to only 12 which are Silk Road discussion; Security; Shipping; Drug safety; Off topic; Product requests; Product offers; Rumor mill; Technical support; Feature requests; The Armory; and OVDB. What are the remaining 8 boards, and what is the reasoning behind them staying private? I assume ut4ha's posts reside in one or several of the private boards.

Last of all there's the mysterious VIP. He's been registered since October 28, 2011 and was last seen active on May 14, 2012, but he has 0 posts? Is he simply a friendly ghost sent here to watch over us?

SR geeks is a member group that can be applied for in the profile tab. I don't know the requirements for joining. As to the boards you can't view, I don't know, they must have blocked them from you personally, because I have 20 here...not really, but there is the vendor section that is hidden to non vendors, I would imagine there is an admin's lounge that only DPR, DA, and ut4ha have access to. there may also be a moderators lounge for all the Mods, then maybe they still count the welcom to smf board that is on a fresh install, but that still leaves a couple un-accounted for.

I've never seen a single one of those "SR Geeks" give useful tech advice, and they can't update the website without causing the kind of PHP or database errors (bitcoin rollbacks!) I used to make when I was 12.
They don't even know how to develop a parallel test version and constantly make all changes straight to the live version, which is hilarious when you read the forum posts of the poor affected users here...

I know about the SR Geeks, as I've been applied to the group for several weeks now. My guess is they don't bother checking unless you bring it up to DigitalAlch. I'm also aware of the Vendors lounge, but obviously I'm not a vendor unless you count spreading HIV throughout the forums. :-\ I think you're right about the moderators and admins having a place to discuss current topics outside of personal messaging, but the current staff seems small enough that it doesn't seem necessary. After all, there's only Limetless, chronicpain, nomad bloodbath, squidShepherd, DigitalAlch, and Dread Pirate Roberts that I know of. ???

Lol I am sure Tony has never stepped away and made a vendor account way before he went AWOL. I bet people who got scammed by him have bought from him unknowingly numerous times afterwards.

chances are he is here. there is some discussion that has spilled onto SR about OPI being tony. I am not 110% convinced, but I have a higher than average feeling that there will be a lot of hurt feelings shortly when OPI pulls the rug from under his customers.

Well what makes the connection between OPI and Tony seem plausible is that Tony specifically made it a point to discredit OPI and say he was a scammer, and even mentioned in PM's to someone that he thought OPI was going to do a 4/20 scam. It seems like that could of been smoke and mirrors to make people think they aren't related/same person.

I have also heard more evidence, but it is hearsay, as I was not involved in either deal, and I never heard back from someone was working on linking them back when tony first Houdini'd.

Any chance I can ask you to stop making threads with titles that can easily be interpreted as FUD attempts, but that actually turn out to be fishing for as much information as possible about the entire administration staff? Makes you look a bit suspect, when you think about it
